I support fairtrade products because a lot of companies in the West (i.e. the United States, the United Kingdom mainly, but also most countries in Europe as well as Australia and Canada) exploit the hard workers in my country and workers in poor countries like Bangladesh, Philippines and Thailand by paying less than a fair price for their products and for their labour. Everytime you go to a shop and choose to buy a Fair Trade product instead of a mass market product you will be helping somebody in a developing country live a better life. Most importantly, try to never walk past an injustice in silence in your life. Don't let people use racist or sexist language and comments and think it is funny. It is never funny because comments often lead to acts of prejudice.
